Palazzo Madama
Two thousand years of history in a single building: from the Roman gate of the colony of Julia Augusta Taurinorum to the medieval fortress of the Acaja family, to the Baroque façade by Filippo Juvarra (1716-1721). A UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy.
Juvarra's Staircase
The double-ramp staircase designed by Juvarra is a work of art in itself. Inside, the Tower of Treasures holds Antonello da Messina's Portrait of a Man.
Palazzo Reale
The official Savoy residence until 1865, blending Baroque and Neoclassical styles across its halls, furnishings and artworks. It became state property in 1946.
Teatro Regio
Destroyed by fire in 1936, it was rebuilt in 1973 with bold contemporary architecture, while the historic façade on the square was kept intact.
Royal Armoury
One of the world's most important collections of weapons and armour, spanning pieces from the Neolithic to the 20th century, part of the Musei Reali route.
Royal Gardens
Designed by André Le Nôtre, the same architect behind the gardens of Versailles, offering a green pause steps from the busy centre.
